Learn about our process

Porcelain tile is one of the most sustainable building materials in the world. In addition to its functional and aesthetic benefits, it also contributes to greener design and long-term resource conservation—especially when you select your surface solution from Crossville, Inc.

We produce high quality porcelain tile products in the United States following high standards for responsible sourcing, conservation, and the use of recycled tile content in our production. Not only are our products third-party certified, we’ve ensured our entire manufacturing process is, too.

How we recycle tile

Porcelain tile waste doesn't belong in a landfill. Since 2009, we've given our customers (and other tile manufacturers) a way to responsibly recycle used tile. Our Tile Take-Back® program is the only program of its kind that accepts previously installed fired porcelain, cut scraps, and loose samples for recycling into brand new tile.
