Sustainability Certifications
Green Squared®
Green Squared® is the tile industry’s standard for sustainability. Green Squared® involves one industry, one standard, and one mark and covers the gamut of products used in a tile installation. As the first multi-attribute sustainability standard developed for tiles and tile installation materials, Green Squared® uses the transparency and consensus of the ANSI process combined with third party certification to evaluate, validate, and communicate products which have a positive impact on the environment and society.
Green Squared® covers product characteristics, manufacturing, end of product life management, progressive corporate governance, and innovation in an effort to establish sustainability criteria for products throughout their full lifecycle.
Crossville is proud to say were an early adopter to this standard, and that all of our Tennessee manufactured products are Green Squared® certified by SCS Laboratories.

Living Building Challenge Contributing
Crossville makes products; you make spaces. The International Living Future Institute certifies buildings thought the Living Building Challenge. Living buildings are regenerative buildings that connect occupants to light, air, food, nature, and community, are self-sufficient and remain within the resource limits of their site, and create a positive impact on the human and natural systems that interact with them.
Crossville’s 2.0 products – all Petal Certified – contribute to Living Building Challenge spaces by exhibiting the seven sustainability features that are part of this program. See our Living Product Challenge Certificate here.
