James E. Durbin Named V.P. of Manufacturing

Crossville, TN – Crossville, Inc. announces the appointment of James E. (Jed) Durbin as Vice President of Manufacturing. In his new role, Durbin has oversight of Crossville’s four manufacturing plants located in Tennessee, as well as the Peltier Glass Company manufacturing facility in Ottawa, Illinois.

'Jed is the perfect fit for this position,' says John E. Smith, Crossville's president. 'He not only has a degree in business and experience in tile manufacturing, but he has been an entrepreneur -- he understands what's involved in running a business.'

Durbin has worked in the tile industry since 1992, first for TileCera and later for Florim USA. He joined Crossville in 2000 as Maintenance Manager at Plant 3 and three years later became Plant Manager. In January of 2007, he was appointed Crossville’s Director of Manufacturing.

A graduate of the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas, with a Music Degree in Vocal Performance, Durbin also holds an MBA, with an emphasis in Economics, from Middle Tennessee State. In 1982, he earned a Masters Electrician License and founded an electrical construction company.
